Painted Wall, Sunset View, and Warner’s Point

Part 4 of the Black Canyon Series

Making it to the end of my Black Canyon pictures, I present the last of the bunch: the Painted Wall, Sunset View, and Warner’s Point.

First up, the Painted Wall is one of the most iconic points of interest in the Black Canyon, and it’s not hard to see why:

It’s absolutely majestic. Fun facts about the Black Canyon: the Painted Wall is the Canyon’s biggest cliff. Some parts of the canyon only sees about 33 minutes of sunlight everyday, hence its name. It’s also one of the youngest national parks, but contains some of the oldest exposed rock in the world.

Just a little ways past the Painted Wall is Sunset View.

And at the very far end of the South Rim, on the opposite side of the visitor’s center is Warner’s point, an easy and scenic 1.5 mi hike.

At the end of the trail is a beautiful back view at the canyon.

Seriously, go see this beauty. It’s amazing.
