One of my absolute favorite things to do, anywhere, is High Tea. Whenever given the opportunity, always do afternoon tea.

When I was given the chance to do High Tea right next to the river, I jumped.

Like I said in the last post, unfortunately the view wasn’t as memorable as it could have been. This is what the clock tower looked like:

But that would never crush my spirits; not when I was about to get hot tea, champagne, and delicious treats.

Tea was at the Marriott Hotel, just across the street from Parliament.

Again, the view would have been PERFECT, if Big Ben hadn’t been covered in scaffolding (:

First things first, we chose our tea from a lovely selection.

We chose the prince grey tea. Then we started off with some champagne and a strawberry parfait to cleanse our pallets.

When the tea arrived, I felt like I was in heaven. The tea was light, fruity, and delicious!

Then the food arrived, and our taste buds were overloaded with wonderful sandwiches, desserts, and scones.

Look at those cheeky little scones.

The room was beautiful, too. It looked like a library Belle would envy.

To cap of a wonderful evening, we spent our night in a singer-songwriter club called the Lantern Society. A bunch of aspiring artists come together to perform their music for each other, and it was beautiful. Next time I’m there, I’ll definitely be stopping by again! (Both to the tea and the Lantern Society ;))
